Ordination to the Diaconate for Six Chair of St Peter Ordinariate clerics

Fr. Scott Hurd, Vicar General of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, writes on Facebook:

I thank God for the last night’s ordination as transitional deacon of six oustanding men in Fort Worth. As a former priest of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, I give thanks in a particular way for my friends and former colleagues. Of them, Deacon Chuck Hough Sr. was my first boss at St. Andrews’, Grand Prairie, and his son was an altar server at Stephanie’s and my wedding. And I had great joy assisting Deacon Christopher Stainbrook Stainbrook leading the diocesan youth ministry- which included a fine young woman named Kristina Steenson! And thanks you, Bishop Kevin Vann.

      • Don Henri says:

Considering the long established state of disarray and the disafection of the basic tenets of Chrisian faith that is to be found in the Episcopal Church, finding in that denomination such a number of clergy ready to embrace the Catholic Faith is a good surprise.

  2. porys says:

And tell me when ordination to the priesthood in Canada will take place?

    • Conchúr says:

      Later in the year sometime.

    • Continental Catholic says:

I think that the Canadian Deanery concept emerged when the training programme for priesthood had been well in place, hence some considerable delay in training and, consequently, ordinations.

  3. FR. WILLIAM PATRICK ( BILL ) HANNIGAN says:

ORDINATIONS ARE NOW BEING HELD IN AUSTRALIA FOR THE ORDINARIATE OF OUR LADY OF THE SOUTHERN CROSS. MELBOURNE AND BRISBANE AND SYDNEY IN DECEMBER.
