He has run, and is almost gone! I cannot judge the man himself, but who quits the office of the ABC, especially when he is still under full steam, and in the face of warfare? Note, RW is a year younger than myself. Heck, Rome chooses their best people right in their 60′s, it seems?
A great theologian who cannot deal with the schism within his church. The problem is that the Anglican Church is supposedly led by bishops who in the end of the day have little authority. Why do ladies want to become part of this? Or maybe they will start to dismantle what exists and start to exercise authority?
I certainly hope Dr. Williams crosses the TIber; but on the other hand he is very liberal in his support for blessing homosexual partnerships, the embracing of sharia law, and indifferentism among other things.
Authority is always in the place of truth, and in the right spirit there needed!
