More intellectual heavyweights on their way:

To which Fr Ed Tomlinson says on his blog: Welcome Fr. Kirk!
I was delighted to hear that Father Geoffrey Kirk, during a special farewell service at the church of St. Stephen’s in Lewisham (which he has served for many years) announced his intention to join the Catholic Church and the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.
Fr. Kirk was a leading light of the Anglo- Catholic movement over many years, offering a powerful intellect and sparkling sense of humour. He will be a great asset to the Catholic church.
UPDATE: Former National Secretary of Forward in Faith Received into the Catholic Church here.

Great news! I anticipated this (see my first ordination list for the ordinariate of OLW), and we can suppose he’ll be ordained a priest and a deacon with 3 other former Anglican Priests living within the boundaries of the Archdiocese of Southwark.
+ PAX et BONUM
I would be very surprised if Mr kirk is ordained.. I thought he was moving to Singapore in his retirement.
Why are you speculating? Are you a member of the Ordinariate’s Governing Council. If you aren’t put your sock in it!
Well, surprise is often the precursor of enlightenment. Dr Kirk has been co-ordinating an Ordinariate Exploration Group in Lewisham for some time. I dare say that there will be a proper announcement in due course.
There is more news on the blog of Mgr Barnes:
“Now the Group is gearing itself for the big day in September; on 22nd at Noon in Sacred Heart church, Bournemouth [picture above], Deacon Brian Copus is to be ordained a Catholic Priest, together with Deacon John Maunder from the Ordinariate Group at St Agatha’s, Portsmouth. We have been given responsibility for organising the day, so Fr Bruce Barnes, the Parish Priest of Sacred Heart, comes over soon for a meal to begin planning. At the same time we are making contact with the Portsmouth Group to ensure that we are not going off at a tangent. Please pray for these two candidates for the Priesthood; and pray too for the Church of England, preparing for an important Synod in a week’s time. Romans 12.15 seems especially appropriate just now.”
