In TLM calendar today is feast of St. Dominic Guzman (funder of Ordo Predicatorum), but – J. M. Vianney 8 Aug.

  2. Ioannes says:

It always made me wonder why priests back then wore black preaching tabs- was that before the “Roman Collar” became the norm?

  3. Margaret says:

And to what great length and depth do we go…to ‘excuse ourselves of our self-accusations’…as dust blown away and scattered, then only to resettle in some dark and dusty corner of the Soul! But for Grace Alone – of ‘Christ’s Light upon the Soul – will reveal this dust, as it swirls in the SON’s Beam…and of how the Soul makes ‘excuses for her self-accusations’!

To think also on…’accusations toward our brother/sister’ hastily made, which in turn spirals ‘excusing ourselves’…right out of ‘Love’s orbit’; where more oft’ we should first ‘accuse ourselves’…from which we can justifiably measure the girth–to ‘excuse our brother/sister’!
