Church of England Disinvests from NewsCorp

The Church of England has pulled its £1.9m investment from Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation in a protest over its handling of the News of the World phone hacking scandal.
The Telegraph has the details.

I think Murdoch could care less about the CoE! Note, now the CoE is going negative with the Nation of Israel, also. The CoE has almost become a joke itself these days!
Almost????
Well, in spite of the great apostasy, there are some faithful parishes in the CoE. One just does not hear of them these days!
I understand that one of the leading AC churches in London has a congregation of 30. Many many have left over the years and it doesn’t seem that’s going to change, A sorry state! And don’t say where 2 0r 3 are gathered as it just might be like that all too soon
Joseph: Well I know myself of a few that are doing pretty well! But I don’t want to drag their names into the world of blogdom. I will check however with at least one of the Rectors, and ask for the green light.
Btw, as Wesley said, give me 12 men who know the Lord and love His Word, and I will change the world! Interesting how the Methodist renewal lasted well over 50 years even in John Wesley’s time! And even moved America! George Whitefield is buried in Boston, Mass.
Well I guess what you say could work out for the Ordinariates. From little acorns grow mighty oaks.
PS The growth in CoE parishes is in the evangelical part of the church – perhaps the ACs need to work out why they aren’t experiencing the same?
