This Auckland Anglican Church is Sick

The Auckland Anglican church is a progressive church and, as such, supports same-sex marriage.
St. Matthew’s has a reputation for erecting strange billboards, so it is no surprise that it is at it again with this declaration of support for same-sex marriage plastered on billboards-in-the-city – what the church should really call itself.
As St. Matthew’s says: Welcome to a church like no other: a church of vertical inclusiveness:

I’m sorry but this is a joke, right?
Nope..it is not,…the Church is a beautiful medieval style English parish church in the centre of Auckland..in the hands of liberalsand LBGT friendly. Earlier in teh year it had a poster of the Virgin Mary designating her as an unmarried mother.
@ Terry: I regret to say that this is the way “official” Anglicanism is headed in what we, perhaps mistakenly, describe as the “developed world”. First we had secular campaigns for gender neutrality in official documents. Then there was pressure to develop a gender neutral version of holly scipture. Then the priestood was opened up with the CofE General Synod simply declaring by a majority that “there were no theological objections to the ordination of women” – there were – and there still are. An honest statement migh have been “there are theological objections to the ordination of women but this Church is going to disregard them”, Then, once there are women priests, there can be no logical objection to the consecration of women and that may now be seen as inevitable in the CofE – it is already a fait accompli in the US Episcopla Church and in many other churches of the Porvoo Communion.
In the same way, the secular campaigns for equal rights for gay, lesbian and transgendered people have led to campaigns within the CofE and other Anglican Communion churches for openly gay clergy, the blesing of same sex marriages and the like.
Some Anglicans have not been able to take it any more – hence the various “continuing Anglican” churches.
There are even those would push the Catholic Currch in the same direction.
