Catholic Left:

From the link to ‘Which Traditional Anglican communion parishes have joined the Personal Ordinariates?’ in the above post :-

“Interestingly, Bishop Robarts, initially named as a contact for Tasmania, is no longer listed but it was probably consider (sic) ‘bad politics’ to be on the site whilst still in post in the ACCA.”

Surely the same would apply to Fr Owen Buckton? Both men were still listed as contacts as recently as yesterday.

  2. Don Henri says:

A few names are missing (this is from my own informed account of the receptions and nullae ostae):

The 6 British Columbian ACCC Priests were indeed received. They are:
Michael Birch (Blessed JH Newman Victoria BC) [Former rector at St John the Evangelist Victoria]
Don Malins (Blessed JH Newman Victoria BC) [Former clergy at St John the Evangelist Victoria]
Sean Henry (Blessed JH Newman Victoria BC) [Former clergy at St John the Evangelist Victoria]
Ralph Braunstein (Blessed JH Newman Victoria BC) [Former clergy at St John the Evangelist Victoria]
Peter Switzer (Blessed JH Newman Victoria BC) [Former clergy at St John the Evangelist Victoria]
Edward Gale (Blessed JH Newman Victoria BC) [Former rector of Our Lady and St Martin Mayne Island]

Beside Fr. O’Rourke, two other Calgary former ACCC rectors were received at St John the Evangelist ordinariate parish:
Tony Ward (received at St John the Evangelist Calgary AB) [Former rector of All Saints Calgary]
Ernest Skulblics (received at St John the Evangelist Calgary AB) [Former rector of All Saints Calgary - Reconciled Catholic]

In Eastern Canada, Fr. Chris LePage has apparently been received, but the whereabout of his parish is unknown.

Two Priests have been received whithout pursuing Catholic Priesthood:
Fr. Raymond Ball (St Edmund Waterloo ON), who wished to retire, and Charles Warner (Holy Cross Sydney-Forks NS), who was rejected for ordination being a reconciled Catholic (therefore I suppose he was reconciled as a member of the diocese of Antigonish)

A few names are also missing in the US:

Fr. Nicholas Marziani (Ordinariate in Florida), while ordained in TEC, was incardinated in the ACA at the time he renounced his Anglican orders. He is now an ordinariate Priest.

Those were received in the Church:
R: Dennie Eiseleᵠ (St Augustine of Canterbury Oceanside CA)
R: John Worgul† (Christ the King Towson & Holy Trinity lay institute)

Those have received a nulla osta, some have not been received in the Church yet:
N.O.: Lowell Andrews (Holy Nativity Payson AZ)
N.O.: Randall Fogle (Christ our Saviour Denison TX)
N.O.: William Holidays (Incarnation Orlando FL)
N.O.: Richard Bugyi-Sutterᵋ (Colorado Ordinariate Society CO)
N.O.: Samuel Edwards* (The Pondering Heart Apostolate) [former rector of St Peter Waynesville NC]
    N.O.: Gerald Sherbourne (Military chaplain)

And Canon Tom Cairns has been received in his local parish, I don’t know if as a member of the ordinariate or of his local diocese.

NB: the rector of Holy Cross Ocala is Fr. Mark Siegel. Fr Dean Steward is rector at St Luke’s in The Villages. I don’t know if any of them were received in the Church.

Apparently those in reception process in the US are:
Mark Siegel (Holy Cross Ocala FL)
Pedro Toledo (Rey de Gloria Miami Spring FL)
Richmond Bridge (Our Lady of the Angels New Smyrna Beach FL)
Dean Steward (St Luke The Village FL)
Robert Scheiblhofer* (St Barnabas Omaha NE [parish left TEC in 2009])
James Blacker‡ (St Edmund of Canterbury Fredericksburg VA)
    Joseph Reffner (Military chaplain)

  3. Dahrendorf says:

Will the TAC´s parishes in Puerto Rico and Japan be received in full communion? And Torres Strait?

  4. Bill Ledbetter says:

Its not quite the Lamb’s Book of Life, but I’m glad to see my name on the list with all my brother priests. I was received alongside other members of St. Mary of the Angels (and St. Augustine) on July 3 and am now a member of Blessed John Henry Newman in Orange County.

Please keep St. Mary’s in your prayers.

  5. I have updated both posts with the information I have since received, including that from Don Henri, for which I am very grateful.

As for Fr Buxton, he is no longer the Administrator of the Diocese, so I assume that is a response to his remaining as an Ordinariate contact.

Fr Barnier has blogged that there are slow but certain ongoing discussions, aided by the local RC Bishop, as to the situation of an Ordinariate for the Torres Strait.

  6. John Bruce says:

Fr William Ledbetter was a TEC priest who resigned his TEC orders in January 2012. Pior to that time, there was an informal agreement that he could serve as a subdeacon at St Mary of the Angels, and he briefly said mass for dissident St Mary of the Angels parishioners in May and June 2012, although he was never explicitly ordained in the ACA. My understanding is that the ACA masses were said with the knowledge and approval of Msgr Steenson. I don’t believe it’s accurate, however, to list Fr Ledbetter as a former TAC priest. (A subdeacon is a lay person in any case.)

  7. Bill Ledbetter says:

    Hi John,
Yes, I was ordained in the Episcopal Church and l was licensed by the ACA to serve as a priest at St.Mary’s. I was licensed by the archbishop at the same time my name was submitted to Catholic Church officials as one of four St. Mary’s clergy petitioning to be recieved along with the lay people of the parish. Serving in the role of subdeacon at the High Mass on Sundays was just one part of how I served St. Mary’s as a non-stipendiary priest. I always hoped and still do that all four of us will serve in the Catholic Church.
I am a Catholic now and have no voice or vote in what happens at SMA. I still care about the people there and hope to visit for private prayers when the craziness is over if it is ever unlocked.

  8. John Bruce says:

Fr L, the if it is ever unlocked is a big if — and Msgr Steenson’s bright idea that everyone could just write their differences down and burn em in a brazier is, as I’ve opined elsewhere, frivolous and complacent. I think what has many people in various stages of crisis is that they’re seeing the devil actively at work, to the degree that some nicey-nice private prayers utterly miss the point. As I said the other night at RCIA, I’m delighted to be going into the Catholic Church without the need for the Ordinariate.

  9. EPMS says:

Have any Episcopalian/Anglican Church of Canada parishes other than St John the Evangelist, Calgary gone into the Ordinariate? With this exception it seems to be entirely a “Continuing” Anglican affair in North America.

    • EPMS says:

I was forgetting that St Mary the Virgin, Arlington also started out as an Episcopal parish before it became an Anglican Use parish under the Pastoral Provision.

    • Continental Catholic says:

St Luke’s and Mt Calvary used to be TEC parishes.
St Timothy’s should also be classified as ex-Episcopalian (though coming from a secesionist diocese) rather than ex-Anglican.

  10. porys says:

And what about Rev. Lawrence B. Wheeler and his Holy Cross Church in Honolulu?

  11. FR. W. P. HANNIGAN says:

MY NAME IS FR. W. P. ( BILL) HANNIGAN, I AM AN ANGLICAN CATHOLIC PRIEST SERVING IN THE PARISH OF NTH. BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA. I AM WAITING TO BECOME A PRIEST IN THE ORDINERIATE OF OUR LADY OF THE SOUTHERN CROSS. THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS BEEN LEADING ME TO THIS SACRED PRIESTHOOD FOR MANY MANY YEARS. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME. THANK YOU.

  12. Dear Fr Hannigan – I will add you to my provisional list. Best of luck to you and God bless.
