No, maybe I can say, I have argued honestly and biblically, with people on the Internet, and perhaps helped as an instrument or instrumental, in seeing them come to the Gospel of Jesus Christ! This really is my desire, believe it or not! But then, I am a “Gospel” believing Christian man of God! Always Word & Sacrament, but Word first!
Btw, just a note, but when someone says that thay have come to know Christ as Lord & Savior, in your preaching and ministry, you learn quickly that it is not you, but the unction of the Word & preaching itself! (Kerygma/message)
1.”I wish I wrote more strongly-worded letters to my bishop for allowing dancing people in the sanctuary and women and laypeople handing out communion.”
2. “I wish instead of dying on my deathbed, I died after flipping over an Italian sports car.”
3. “I wish i had more fun writing instructions for how my funeral should be. I should’ve put Cirque du Soleil in there somewhere.”
Indeed the Christian soul should know before death the Gospel message and this “kerygma” of Christ, which is the Judicial Freedom: the justifying verdict of God against sin and death…”In Christ”! Does God justify sinners partly on the basis of his grace in Christ and partly on the basis of their own works performed in co-operation with his grace? Or does God justify sinners wholly on the basis of the rightousness of Christ, which is granted and imputed to believers? The latter is the position of the Reformers of course and the Reformation. Thankfully one does not have to have this figured out theologically to benefit from the latter, but it is simply the most biblical position, (Jude 1:1 ; 24-25). And at the place of death & dying Christ-Alone is our sure hope & glory! – Heb. 6: 19-20… “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a frorerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”
Indeed, this is our ‘Federal Vision’ even now…”Christ Jesus”: Risen, Ascended and our Mediator, Who IS Lord & Savior for sinners! Our only real need is to heartfully acknowledge we are “sinners”, in need of THIS Savior “Jesus”, who has died for “sinners”!

I feel this is post more relevant to people who are actually near to being on their deathbeds, meaning, “Everyone on this blog but me.”
But on my deathbed, I’m sure i will be thinking, “I wish I argued more with people face to face.”
More chances of causing a scene and things being thrown at people and crying over hurtful, hurtful words.
Other alternatives I’d consider would be
1.”I wish I wrote more strongly-worded letters to my bishop for allowing dancing people in the sanctuary and women and laypeople handing out communion.”
2. “I wish instead of dying on my deathbed, I died after flipping over an Italian sports car.”
3. “I wish i had more fun writing instructions for how my funeral should be. I should’ve put Cirque du Soleil in there somewhere.”
Perhaps the invitation of the message is to consider that at the hour of our death we may not have the time to repent of our sins.
