Germany to Ban Sex with Animals

Germany is about to ban sex with animals, including the ‘pimping’ of farm animals for sex.

Stand Firm:

Like I’ve said, The Episcopal Church has voted to purport to bless the sexual activities of those who have two currently faddish, minority sexual attractions, and ignored others who also hold minority sexual attractions—scores of different minority sexual attractions—which are not so popular.

Read it all over at the Telegraph:

Agriculture minister Ilse Aigner has agreed to change the law to make it illegal for people to “use (animals) for their own sexual activities or sexual acts of third parties” – which also bans the ‘pimping’ of animals to others.

However the move has aroused the ire of zoophile group ZETA.

Lobbyist Michael Kiok, who lives with his dog Cassie, told the newspaper there were more than 100,000 zoophiles in Germany.

“Mere morals have no place in law,” he said.

Mr Kiok said he was worried that if the law took effect the authorities would try to take away his dog.

Disgusting.

Namibia Mulls Relaunch of Bible Classes in Schools to Counter ‘Moral Decay’

Well, what better answer is there to ‘moral decy’ (sin is what they actually should be calling it but won’t) than a return to the Word of God? In Namibia, as far as I know, Lutheranism is the major denomination.

Namibia is considering reintroducing Bible studies in public classrooms in order to combat the rising problem of alcohol and drug abuse that some say is eroding the country’s moral values.

The Ondonga Traditional Authority (OTA) in Namibia said that it is time for the country to look back to its religious roots. Bible study has not been permitted in schools ever since the African country won independence and declared itself to be a secular state.

OTA Secretary Josef Asino has also called for a National Prayer Day that will look at the rising rates of violence inflicting the country, and consider how bringing back Bible study can help the nation’s youth learn about proper morals, website New Era Namibia reported Wednesday.

“At every second or third house, in most suburbs, there is a shebeen (liquor outlet) and in some cases, these shebeens – whether licensed or not – are set up in close proximity to schools and this is where most of the crimes are committed,” Asino said at the residence of the King of Ondonga Elifas Kauluma, during the visit of Minister of Information and Communication Technology Joël Kaapanda.

“Traditional Leaders are neither consulted nor involved in the process of formulating policies that have a direct bearing on their day to day activities. The institution of traditional believes and religion has been in existence since time immemorial and have survived many hardships under past colonial regimes,” he continued.

The OTA Secretary noted that Bostwana and South Africa also have very high numbers of liquor outlets, which he claimed has created many problems in those countries related to alcohol abuse, corruption, and passion killings.

“Our children do not have respect for the elderly anymore. There is a need for collective efforts to develop the interest of future generations about indigenous knowledge and the role of traditional leaders in our communities,” Asino added…

Italian Bishops Forbid Scattering of Ashes after Cremation

Catholic Culture:

In new guidelines for funerals and burials, the Italian bishops’ conference has said that the scattering of ashes of the deceased is not allowed.

The revised funeral rites, released on March 31, said that although civil law allows for the scattering of ashes, that practice raises “considerable doubts as to their coherence to Christian faith.”

This instruction is placed in an appendix to the new book of funeral rites, a spokesman for the Italian bishops’ conference explained, because the Church, “although she does not oppose the cremation of bodies, when not done in odium fidei, continues to maintain that the burial of the dead is more appropriate, that it expresses faith in the resurrection of the flesh, nourishes the piety of the faithful, and favors the recollection and prayer of relatives and friends.”

Creepy and Evil Scientific Experiments

Extreme Evil Science:

The full title on the cover of the August issue of WIRED is

Extreme Science
7 Shocking Experiments That Would Teach Us So Much
(If They Weren’t So Wrong)

The cover tagline for the Aug 2011 issue is: Ethics, Shmetics

The article inside says that, “nurture vs. nature, the causes of mental illness, even the mystery of how humans evolved from monkeys. These discoveries are just sitting out there, waiting for us to find them, if only we were willing to lose our souls.” Why the article doesn’t exactly advocate doing them, it does say, “don’t pretend you wouldn’t like to learn the secrets that these experiments would reveal.” The Seven:

1) Spilt up twins after the moment of birth–and then control every aspect of their environments. This would benefit psychology enormously.

2) Remove brain cells from a live subject to analyze which genes are switched on and are off.

3) Insert a tracking agent into a human embryo to monitor its development. (Discover how a tiny clump of cells transforms into a fully formed human being.)

4) Use beams of light to control the activity of brain cells in conscious human beings. (This would involve an open-skull session with focused beams into brain tissue to see how you respond…)

5) Switch the embryos of obese women with those of thin women. (Is obesity genetic or epigenetic?)

6) Test each new chemical on a wide range of human volunteers before it comes on the market. (Better than mice…)

7) Cross-breed a human with a chimpanzee. “Its outcome would take biologists deep into the origin of the species we care about most: ourselves. Let’s just hope we can find a less disturbing route to get there.”

… The mere contemplation of which is but a net result of the depraved mind of man!

Porn Industry: Porn isn’t ‘obscenity’

The very moral fabric of society is tearing when we no longer condemn pornography as offensive obscenity and it starts becoming mainstream

The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) announced yesterday the launching of a lobbying effort to oppose enforcement of anti-obscenity laws.

The ASACP is an association of internet porn sites who claim to support efforts to protect children from viewing pornography, as well as the elimination of child pornography from the web.

In a letter to Congressional legislators, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, and state attorney generals across the country, ASACP CEO Joan Irvine claimed that there was “no needfor the enforcement of obscenity laws, since “the legal adult entertainment industry is not involved in obscenity.”…

Patrick Trueman, CEO of Morality in Media and former chief of the U.S. Department of Justice Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Criminal Division, told LifeSiteNews that the ASACP’s claim that its members are not involved in obscenity is tantamount to a claim that they do not distribute hardcore pornography, which, he said, is “a bald-faced lie.”

In the 1973 decision Miller vs. California, the Supreme Court affirmed the constitutional legitimacy of laws regulating or prohibiting “patently offensive ‘hardcore’ sexual conduct,” and rejected the argument that such materials were protected by the First Amendment.

“The distribution of hardcore pornography in America subjects one to federal obscenity laws,” Trueman explained. “Distribution of hardcore material is the lifeblood of the porn industry. They don’t make money on softcore pornography.”…

They continue to break the law, said Trueman, because “they know the justice department is looking the other way.”

He further explained that vigorous enforcement of the law, which has been declining since Clinton took office, is virtually non-existent under the current administration. Under Attorney General Holder, there have not been any indictments of adult pornographic producers, and the Department of Justice’s Obscenity Prosecution Task Force has been shut down.

Anti-pornography groups such as Morality in Media are joining with recent Congressional efforts to support renewed enforcement of these laws.

“Only 20% of households have any blocking software, and the porn industry knows that. Even if parents have blocking software, their kids can get pornography on cell phones, at the homes of their friends, they can get it at some public libraries,” said Trueman. “And it all comes from this porn industry that pretends to be concerned with protecting children.”

“The battle is now joined on Capitol Hill. Congress can choose. Do they want to help the porn industry or do they want to help American families?”

There is a good website to that end, Pornography Harms, and it can be visited here.

This site is dedicated to providing the most accurate peer-reviewed research on the harm from pornography, along with relevant news and opinion.
