Terry Jones Running for President of USA

The Huffington Post reports (with a video too):

Terry Jones, a controversial pastor who has made national headlines for publicly burning the Quran, is mounting a campaign for president of the United States.

Jones isn’t starting small either, and it seems he’s going straight for the big leagues. The campaign, named “Stand Up America Now,” aims to propel him to the White House largely on a seven-point platform which includes deporting all “illegals” and immediately bringing all of the troops home, according to ABC Action News.

The pastor’s message appears to remain anti-Muslim. A statement from Jones announcing his campaign goes as far as to solicit donations in order to specifically oppose radical Islam according to Fox News. “Please financially support us as we continue our stand against radical Islam,” it reads.

Jones gained a level of infamy after President Barack Obama was forced to request he not burn a copy of the Quran on the anniversary of 9/11 in 2010. Though he cancelled his initial plans, he ultimately followed through on his word and burned the religious text in March. The act sparked widespread protests in Afghanistan, some of which turned deadly…

And God help America if he does gets elected!

‘Four or Five different forms of punishment’ Waiting for the Prophet Mohammed

That’s if Pastor Terry Jones has his way:

Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center of Gainesville, Fla., was speaking with Klein on the latter’s “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on WABC 770 AM in New York City when the host asked if there was any truth to the rumor that Jones’ church would put Muhammad “on trial,” like it did with the Quran.

There is that possibility,” Jones said, before qualifying, “it is definitely not a possibility in the near future.”

Nonetheless, he continued: “As far as judging Muhammad, it would take place in the same way. We would try to obtain experts on both sides of the bench, and if Muhammad was found innocent . . . then we would issue a public apology to Islam, to the Quran, to the followers of Muhammad for our actions at insulting [them]. If he was found guilty, then we would do in the same manner as the Quran burning. We would offer probably four or five different forms of punishment, and then the form of punishment that the people voted upon, that would be the punishment that would be executed.”

Klein asked what kind of “punishment” Jones had in mind.

“Probably they would be forms similar to International Judge the Quran Day,” Jones said. “On that day we had four forms of punishment — they were burning, grounding, shredding and facing of a firing squad. We would probably pick some of those kinds of forms, and if Muhammad was found guilty . . . we would put together some type of picture or some type of dummy figure to represent him, and then the execution would be done on that particular object we created.”

The man’s clearly a maniac!

Terry Jones May Put Mohammed on Trial

Terry Jones, the radical pastor who oversaw the burning of a Koran in his Florida church last month after a mock court hearing, may put the Islamic prophet Mohammed on trial in his next ‘day of judgement’, he told The Sunday Telegraph.

“It is definitely a consideration to stage a trial on the life of Mohammed in the future,” he said in interview on Saturday.

Such an inflammatory move would almost certainly trigger further violent protests in the Muslim world. But Mr Jones struck an unapologetic stance, insisting that his actions bore no responsibility for the murders in Mazar-i-Sharif…

Terry Jones: 'International Judge the Koran Day'

Dr Terry Jones obviously hasn’t had enough attention yet:

The Gainesville pastor who attracted worldwide attention for threatening to burn the Quran is now planning another stunt.

Dr. Terry Jones now wants to put the Quran on trial, planning what he is calling “International Judge the Koran Day” on March 20 in Gainesville.

“We will have a prosecuting attorney. We will call witnesses. You can call witnesses. The Quran will be judged,” Jones said in a YouTube video.

Jones said the Muslim holy book incites terrorism, but he wants the public to be the final judge.

Jones claims that if the public “convicts” the Quran, he will destroy a copy by burning it, “drowning” it, shredding it or subjecting it to a firing squad.

Last summer, Jones backed down from plans to burn the Quran after world leaders warned him that his actions might incite violence.

And here is his video:

Silly man.
