Via Bad Vestments… Enough to make you run a mile:
Katharine Jefferts Schori regains first place. Knew you had it in you, Presiding Bishop!
Bishopess I think that should be?

What’s worse is that “crozier.”
She has no right to carry a crozier that has any other shape than a shepherd’s crook.

that crozier is the official crozier of the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church. When her term as presiding bishop ends and a new presiding bishop is elected, he or she will receive that crozier when they are enthroned as presiding bishop, just as she did when she was enthroned as presiding bishop. It is modeled after the croziers of the Orthodox Patriarchs in its style, but underneath the cross is the Episcopal shield, symbolizing the Episcopal Church’s connection to the historic episcopate and continuation of apostolic succession. Only the presiding bishop carries that crozier. All other bishops carry the traditional shepherds staff. Just as the pope carries a crucifix crozier, rather than a shepherds staff, symbolizing his authority as primate of the Roman Church, so the Presiding Bishop carries this crozier symbolizing his or her status as primate of the Episcopal Church.
