  1. Sadly, ultimately Christians have only themselves to blame. Roman Catholics, Oriental Orthodox, and Eastern Orthodox worked against each other for centuries and so many times even helped the Muslim invaders. And even when the Turks are at the gates of Vienna and have conquered Hungary, Roman Catholics and Protestants can’t work together. They were just lucky the Turks peaked and receded at just the right time, but then they made no attempt to take things back, except for limited, usually selfish reasons. Now the remnant pays the price. Though, of course, this is what ended up happening on the Iberian peninsula with the Muslims. We have met the enemy and he is us! 😦

    1. or more aptly put, the ‘enemy’ is deep within us…we are divided within ourselves; so for man it is impossible, but for God ALL is possible. God’s HOPE always remains with “the remnant”–a ‘Baptism of Fire’ to set the world ablaze, a complete and authentic ‘Transformation in Christ’!

    2. Myself, I regard Radical Islam as most certainly evil! If ever there was a religion that has been generally antichristian it has been Islam! And of course foremost we must speak theologically and biblically! There is no doubt in my mind that the emphasis of the final Islamic Empire will come from Radical Islam, against Jews, Christians (East and West) in “the Day of the Lord”, but most certainly centered around the Nation of Modern Israel! (Zech. 14) Indeed the Apostle Paul talks squarely about The Great Apostasy and Antichrist in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2…”For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” (2 Thess. 2: 7) Just who “He” is has been a long exegetical study, especially in the last, say 150 years or so. Myself, looking at Daniel 12, and Paul’s Thessalonian Letters (1 & 2), with the Book of Revelation. I believe HE is Michael the archangel! But, I will leave that for your serious study. But see and note too, Rev. 12, 13, 17: The Woman, The Man-Child, and The Beast. See here also Daniel 7. And note too, the Islamic Caliphate!

      1. Many Christians over the centuries, including Luther & others during the Reformation, have thought Islam was antichrist. We can only pray for the final fulfilment of all things in Christ.

      2. Surely the Lord is going to give us more spiritual and moral sense as ‘the Day of the Lord’ approaches! We can see this sense in the Book of: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon (surely) take place, and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it, for the time is near.” (Rev. 1: 1-3)

HERE, are “the final fulfilment of all things in Christ”! “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” (Rev. 22: 20)

      3. Sadly however, only the “Elect” and the “Remnant” will respond, just before the ‘Day of the Lord.’ All others will be dulled and fooled by “the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.” (2 Thess. 2: 9-10) Verses 12 & 13 might be some of the most frightening in the whole of Holy Scripture! Btw, do we really believe in verbal inspiration? But thank God for verses 13-14, etc.
